The Liebster Award

You may have seen the Liebster award on several blogs recently, but if you're not familiar with it, here's a quick summary:

A blogger will nominate 11 of their favourite new/small blogs (less than 200 followers) and set them 11 questions to answer. Each nominee will answer the questions then nominate a further 11 bloggers and set their own 11 questions.

It's a great way to get to know other bloggers and for everyone to gain some new readers!

I was nominated by the lovely Jade at Pint Sized Pixie and Lola at Haus of Lola - thanks girls!

Holiday Blog #1 | Thursday-Sunday

As you probably know, I recently got back form my holiday in Lanzarote. I thought I'd be better splitting my posts about it up a bit because if I squeezed it all in to one post, it'd be way too long!

I went with Adam and we stayed in the Barcelo Lanzarote hotel in the Costa Teguise region of the island. This was a four star hotel and we went on an all-inclusive basis. I'd really recommend the hotel - we both loved it.

Click on the photos to make them bigger - they look much better that way!

Holiday OOTD

I've been trying to get an OOTD together for weeks now but I've finally got one from my holiday! I wore this to go out at night and I thought it looked cute.

Top: New Look
Skirt: Primark
Sandals: Primark
Necklace & Bracelet: New Look

I didn't realise that the whole outfit came from only two shops but okay haha. I would have liked to wear my black Lita's with this but no one really wore heels in the hotel at night so I stuck to my sandals, which I still think looked nice.

The top has an exposed zip down the front which I really like, and I'm loving aztec patterns at the moment - they're perfect for holidays!

A nice hi-lo skirt is always a winner for summer and this simple black one is so versatile; it can be styled so many different ways.

Gladiator sandals are another summer staple and these spiked ones from Primark are just my type. They were comfortable too which is always a bonus!

I wore one of my favourite spiked necklaces and I think the colours tied the outfit together nicely. The bracelet was a birthday present from Adam and has a bit of a tribal feel to it which is a bit different from my usual style but I like it a lot!

What are your thoughts on this outfit? And what are your summer wardrobe essentials?

Stranded Apparel | New Range Lauches Tonight!

Stranded Apparel evolved from founder Jordan Bunker's college project last year and the company are making a name for themselves as a unique and caring brand. 10% of every purchase goes straight to Crisis and Shelter to help the homeless.

In an age where clothing companies are springing up from bedrooms all over the country, it's become harder than ever to stand out from the sea of Big Cartels. Stranded Apparel, however, seem to have figured out how to do it. Their designs are truly unique and don't simply follow the trends of independent clothing companies.

Their most recent range featured strong images representing the people that they aim to help, such as one t-shirt with a Big Issue seller. This is unlike any idea I have previously seen, and is a breath of fresh air in a market where many designs are so similar.

Tonight at 8pm, part one of the SS13 range is launching on the site. I've had a sneak peak at the designs and am very impressed. They are slightly different from the previous range, and have a bit of a varsity vibe to them, in my opinion anyway! There's an awesome sweatshirt and some new logo tees which I'd love to get my hands on! The items are hand screen printed to ensure a high quality finish so you know your goods will last you well.

The vibe of Stranded as a brand is really strong in the new range and I can see them gaining a loyal following from it as it's the type of company that so many people would be proud to support. There's no need to feel guilty about spending some of your hard-earned cash on new gear for yourself when you know that you're helping really worthwhile causes in the process!

It's clear to see how much thought and work goes into Stranded and the team really care about the brand and what they stand for. That in itself is part of what makes the company so unique and I really hope a lot of money can be raised for Crisis and Shelter as both charities do so much great work.

Check out the website at 8pm to see the new range, you don't want to miss it!

You can also find Stranded on Twitter and Facebook.

Have you bought from Stranded before? What do you think of the new range?

I'm Back!

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry for having such a long absence from the blog but I'm only just back from my holiday (expect lots of posts about it!) and before that I was working loads and it was also my birthday (there will be a post about that too) so I was super busy!

I've really missed blogging so there will be a lot of posts up soon and I'll get back into the habit of posting regularly. I'll even have another post up tonight!

The photo above is of Adam and I on the plane to Lanzarote. We both had an amazing time but I won't say too much about it yet as I'm saving it for later posts.

This was just a quick post to keep you updated and let you know that blogging will return to normal.

Make sure to follow me on Bloglovin' to be notified of new posts as soon as they're up. I also tweet the links to all of my new posts so Twitter is a good place to keep up to date too!

Love,

Shannon xx
