August Favourites

Here are some things I've been loving this month:

Gosh Velvet Touch Eye Primer

This is definitely my favourite eye primer that I've tried. It feels silky smooth on the skin, is a great base and it really does its job - my eye make-up doesn't budge all day. This is much more affordable than other popular eye primers, such as Urban Decay's, and it does a brilliant job so why pay more than you need to? I've had this one little tube for a year now and there's still plenty left in it so I think it's really good value.

Benefit Sugarbomb Blusher

I got this blusher in my Sugarlicious set a few months ago (read my post about it here.) but I've only really started using it this month and I love it. It's a gorgeous pinky-peach colour and it suits my skin tone so well. It lasts long too, and a little goes a long way. Whenever this runs out (which won't be any time soon), I'll probably purchase the full-sized one.

Kate Moss x Rimmel Lipstick in Shade 26

I'd been searching for the perfect nude lipstick for ages and this month I finally found it. I was looking for a peach-toned nude and one that wasn't too pale and chalky, and this Kate Moss shade is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for when I do dramatic eyes and want a more natural lip. I'm so glad I found this!

TRESemme Thermal Recovery Hair Treatment

I've been working on getting my hair in better condition this month so when I saw this mask on sale for half-price in Tesco, I picked it up straight away. I've been using it 2-3 times a week and I've started to see a difference in my hair already. I don't put it on my roots as it is very rich so would probably make them a little greasy. If you have damaged hair (especially heat damaged) I'd definitely recommend this product.

Favourite Moments of the Month

August was a good month because it was Adam and I's three year anniversary. We celebrated it by going on a trip to Dundee and you can read my post about it here. We had such a lovely time and it's crazy to think that we've now spent three years together - it's gone so fast!

I also finally got to see my favourite band live - Fall Out Boy. They only announced the gig around two weeks before it so it all happened quite quick and I couldn't believe I actually got to see them. I've been a fan of them for eight years now so seeing them live has been a long time coming! It was an amazing night and they played my favourite song which made me cry!

My niece Orla turned five on the 9th and she had a Disney Princess party. She was Ariel, Ellie was Sleeping Beauty and Poppy was Cinderella - they all looked so cute! Orla also started school this month which was scary and wonderful at the same time!

Would you like to see monthly favourites from me every month? What were your favourite things in August?
