February Favourites

February Favourites

It's been far too long since I last done a monthly favourites post so here's some things I've been loving for the past month. After reading this back I realised there was a definite theme - moisture. My hair, skin and lips are all dry at the moment (sexy!), so I've been loving any products that give me some much-needed moisture.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor
At the start of February, Tesco had a 3 for £10 offer on all Aussie products. I'd been wanting to try some new hair products for a while so took this opportunity to try Aussie's famous 3 minute miracle. I tend to use this twice a week, and I leave it on for more like five minutes as my hair is very dry so it needs the moisture. I have noticed a definite improvement in my hair - it's not so dry, it's shinier and it's healthier. What more could I ask for?

Hask Keratin Protein Strengthening Oil*
In keeping with the theme of hair and looking after it, I've been using the Hask Keratin Protein Oil after every hair wash, just on the ends. I received this in my goodie bag at the Scottish bloggers Christmas party but only started using it last month. I wish I'd tried it sooner! This isn't a miracle oil and I'm not sure if it matches the quality of argan oil, but it's far cheaper (you can pick it up for a few pounds in Primark) and it has definitely improved the usually very dry ends of my hair. It's supposed to strengthen the hair too, so hopefully my hair is getting better!

Lush Santa's Lip Scrub*
The winter (yes, it's still absolutely freezing in Scotland) has really dried my lips out so this scrub has been a godsend! I use it every night before bed, massaging it in to the lips then applying Carmex once all the sugar is gone. It definitely works and it tastes like cola cubes too! This was a limited edition Christmas lip scrub, but I'd highly recommend trying out one of the other ones - the popcorn one is next on my list!

Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub
Exfoliation is super important for dry skin, but my skin is also very sensitive so I rarely used scrubs prior to this one. I wanted to stick to Simple as their products are formulated for sensitive skin and they're very gentle. This scrub contains multi-vitamins and rice granules, so it's really kind to the skin and helps to brighten the complexion. I use this 1-2 times a week and I've noticed that it's done wonders for my pores so that's an added bonus!

February wasn't the best month for me as I spent the last half of it ill, hence the lack of posting. I'm feeling better now though, and am going into March with a positive outlook. This month I have Adam's birthday, Fall Out Boy and the Easter holidays to look forward to so I think it'll be a good one!

What were your favourite things about February?
