JANUARY FAVOURITES

January Favourites

It's been a while since I wrote a monthly favourites post so I thought the first month of a new year was the best time to start again. Here's some products I've been loving this month:

UMBERTO GIANNINI CURL FRIENDS NOURISHING OIL
Adam's sister got me the Umberto Giannini Curl Friends set for Christmas and it's a really great set. My favourite product from it is the Nourishing Oil as it has coconut oil so it makes my hair lovely and soft. I have pretty dry hair so I use a generous amount of this on damp hair after my shower and it leaves my hair more moisturised, soft and silky.

SOAP & GLORY SEXY MOTHER PUCKER LIP LACQUER IN CHARM OFFENSIVE
This is another one from a Christmas set - Soap & Glory's Next Big Thing which I am lucky enough to receive every Christmas. This was the first year that a lip lacquer was given and I'm so happy they put this in the set this year. It's sort of like a liquid lipstick and it's very pigmented. It's a great deep pink shade and it lasts really well. I've been wearing this any time I go on a night out or dinner date this month because it is quite shiny so it's best for night time and it looks pretty glam. I love it!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION NAKED CHOCOLATE PALETTE
I've already spoke about this in my Makeup Revolution haul here, but it's definitely worth another mention. I've been using this to do my eye makeup every day since I got it as the colours are beautiful and the shadows are nicely pigmented. You can create loads of completely different looks with these shades so it really is the perfect everyday palette.

L'OREAL PARIS MEGA VOLUME MISS MANGA PUNKY MASCARA
I'd been wanting to try the Miss Manga mascara for a while, but when L'Oreal brought out the Punky version and Boots had it on offer for just £5.99 I had to pick it up. This is a great mascara and I've been using it most days. The most noticeable effect is that it separates the lashes really well - more so than any other mascara I've tried. L'Oreal suggest using the end of the wand to create more spikey lashes which I don't tend to do because I think they end up separated enough with the normal wand. You're left with a kind of doll-like look and it really widens the eyes so I'd recommend trying it out if that's the look you like.

LA ROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR DUO [+]
This month I decided to completely shake up my skincare routine and I was on a mission to find products I really loved. I bought the La Roche-Posay Effaclar 3 Step kit from boots which comes with this product, a facial wash and a toner. I'm really liking the whole kit and have definitely seen an improvement in my skin. The Effaclar Duo [+] is my favourite product from the set as I feel it's the one that makes the biggest difference and I would definitely re-purchase this on its own if I decided not to buy the full kit again. I'm not saying it's a miracle product but it's definitely one of the best ones I've tried so do give it a go if you're struggling with your skin.
