On Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending an amazing party for the ethical fashion brand Nobody's Child at Blow Hairdressers in Finnieston. Cocktails, hair glitter and fashion came together to make a great night in a super cool setting.

Nobody's Child are a unique brand to me in that they are passionate about being conscious in all areas of their manufacturing, yet are still completely affordable. They have control over all aspects of creating their clothes and are able to ensure that the materials are sustainable and the workers at every level are paid a fair wage. Of course, everyone would prefer their clothes come from such principles, but for someone like me on a tight student budget that can be really difficult. I'm so happy to have the option to buy on-trend pieces for reasonable prices whilst knowing they're still coming from a good place.

The Spring/Summer 16 range is bang on trend with 70's influences, floaty fabrics and bardot necklines. Expect plenty of that gorgeous burnt orange shade mixed with florals, as well as clean lines and monochrome stripes. The 70's Floral Dress (£20) looked beautiful and perfect for strolling around in the summer.

The monochrome rail really drew me in as I pretty much live in black and grey anyway. The checked pinafore was super cute, and the Black Deep Plunge Bodysuit (£10) would be a sexy addition to your night-out wardrobe. All these pieces would work well together so you can get yourself a good few outfits for a total bargain price.

Tantrum Doughnuts Glasgow

The event itself was so much fun - the fab DJ Elisha created a girl power soundtrack to the sparkly cocktails, braid bar, amazing doughnuts from Tantrum and even a designated selfie station complete with a ring light for that Insta-worthy skin. Of course, Blow also showed off their famous Glitter Roots which looked even cooler in person!

I met so many amazing ladies and it was great to meet girls whose blogs I've read for ages as well as finding new ones to swoon over. The founders of Nobody's Child were so lovely, too, and it's clear to see they have such a passion for what they do. Huge thanks to the wonderful Sheri for the invite - that girl knows how to throw a party!

What are your favourite Nobody's Child pieces?
